Hisshou (必勝) T-Shirt 2026 Edition

We are happy to announce a new collaboration with our good friend Josh Ross, the Shodō (Japanese calligraphy) artist behind the kanji on our recent US made knives. Josh, under the pen name Koshin, has won numerous awards and has had his work featured in the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Art. This is the beginning of a series of shirts and other apparel that will be offered in limited run batches. Each shirt is made, by hand, to order so we can guarantee your size.

This Hisshou (必勝) kanji is written in gyoshou style. The finished piece is mounted to backing paper using rice paste where it is set on a wood board to dry flat. After it is dry, it is photographed and turned into a silk screen.

The characters are then printed onto naturally dyed 6oz cotton shirts using black water based ink for a smooth and soft finish. After the first washing, they’ll feel like part of the original shirt fabric. The artist seal, date, and logo are then printed with plastisol ink, which because they are small will last and provide a little bit of texture to make these parts pop and fit the theme of a traditional piece of Japanese artwork. This is all done by hand in Twisp, Washington.

This is a limited run, the pre-order will be open until June 25th. We’ll start shipping at the end of July.
